Philip Baker School Halloween

Philip Baker School

1935 Philip Baker School Halloween Party & Parade

KINDERGARDEN, FIRST & SECOND GRADES

This wonderful oldie was submitted by Bill Callahan, the one wearing a clown suit on the far right. If you look hard you will find others like Jack Coombs, Joan Watton, Andy Hasslet, Jack Taylor, Joan Eichman, Joanne Mangino, Eileen Grasso and Dave Grasso. Although Philip Baker School exists no more, its memories live on in the hearts of many who attended there as a child. These were the days when everyone’s Halloween costume was original and hamemade, and the scariest costume was a ghost made out of a white sheet. Soon pumpkins will be appearing on doorsteps throughout the island. Plan now on making your children’s Halloween costumes. You don’t need to be Martha Stewart to help in this fun family activity.
