WiLDWOOD by-the-sea: Nostalgia & Recipes Tent City: 1939-1953
Imagine spending a summer on the beach, sleeping in a tent, having fun on the sand and in the ocean all day and every day! At the southern end of the barrier island near the stone jetty just below Diamond Beach, between the years of 1939 and 1953, more than 100 tents were set up there each summer.

It has been written that if you capture a Leprechaun he can be fooled into revealing the location of his pot of gold, but the wily Leprechaun is good at tricking mere mortals and if you take your eyes off of him for an instant, he will vanish.

I have always been a collection kind of gal. Magnets, frisbees, rubber ducks, you name it. The recent chance to remodel my kitchen has allowed me to put the largest of my collections - Coca Cola memorabilia - on display.

609-522-9406. In addition to our emmy awardwinning keynote speaker,Carol Erickson, the NWBWC line-up this year is the most impressive since the first one in 2003. Writers accomplished in a variety of genres-poetry, horror fiction, memoir writing, journalism, and screenwriting— as well as agents and publishers will present, namely Nancy Viau, Lorraine Ranalli, Jane Rubino and Caitlen Rubino-Bradway, Charis Conn. The two-day conference also offers a luncheon where the speakers will chat informally with guests, a breakfast, an Ice Cream Social, and a sit-down dinner, and a Book Bazaar. The whole wonderful event is still only $75 (except for a manuscript evaluation fee.) You may submit your manuscript of up to 25 pages for a one-on-one expert evaluation, or why not enter the contests? Enter your essay or poem and compete for first, second, or third prize. The Grand Prize is $700 towards publishing your work, offered by John Harnish of Infinity Publishing. Deadline for registration is May 27. Deadline for first page critique, manuscript evaluation, and contest entries is May 15. So, it’s time you went to NWBWC.com to find more detail and make your plans to attend.
